Salam Alaikom, I would like to offer money to accomplish Hajj for my parents but they decline because they have the means to accomplish it themselves. I want to know if they can go to Hajj with my money(which is my hope) or is it prohibited for them because they could do it themselves. Many thanks
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Wa alikoum salam, There are no hindrances to accoplish Hajj by a money which is received as a donation. In your case, offering money to accomplish Hajj for your parents is a highly cherished act appreciated by God and his prophet. By the contrary, your parents have to accept this money even if they have got the means by which they could accomplish Hajj themselves and only God knows. Mostafa Brahami
Question :
Salam Alaikum, i have read a number of books but none clearly states what clothes has the Hadj to wear? What clothes are allowed for the man in addition to the two white cloth? Thank you for your help
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Wa alikoum salam, During the period of sacralization (Ihram) of the Hajj or the Umrah , men are not allowed to wear any underwears under the the white cloth. Underwears are not permitted to men. Equally, he has to take off his shoes and wear sandals. This goes all along the period of sacralization. Once it is over he can wear casual clothes. It is only in case of chronic diseases that the man can wear underwears. He then has to sacrify a sheep for this transgression. If it is during Hajj , this sheep has to be sacrified in case of tamattu' and qirân. If the person is poor he has to feed 6 persons, if not he/she has to fast 3days in Mecca and 7 days when returned to home. The woman wears the veil and she is not concerned by undressing and only God knows. Salam
Question :
Salam ! I want to go on Hajj this year but i have some doubts, could you please illuminate for me? In effect, i have a bank loan (of my house) that still not totally refunded ( i still have to refund for 5 years) and i want to know if I have to wait until the loan is totally refunded or can I go on Hajj even if it's not completely refunded? thank you
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Wa alikum salam, within the principle that is not obligatory for a person who is indebted unless he/she pays it back. Because the human rights of men are prioritized in cases of obligations. Nonetheless, erudites allow the accoplishment of a Hajj or an Umra and then the debts could be paid back if the person thinks he/she could pay back. This person has to acknowledge his debts to his relatives so that they could pay it back in case of a major problem and only God knows. Salam
Question :
Salam Alaikom ! I'm a women living in France and I want to go on an Umra. I want to know how to do?
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Salam alikoum, as I mentioned in my book on Hajj , where all the references are mentioned, so many erudites (Mâlik, Shâfii, Ibn Taymiyya and others..) allow the woman to accoplish the rites when she is whith a group of men or confident women. In your case, if you're going with an agency or a group of muslims you can accomplish your Umra with no hindrances and only God knows. Salam
Question :
Is there a possibility to make many Umras during the same journey?
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Salam alikoum, The Imams Mâlik, Shâfi'i and Ahmad and others advocate not to accomplish many Umras during the same journey in Mecca. Only Abû Hanîfa allows it. In effect, our mother Aisha (rda) had done an Umrah after her pilgrimage with the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) because she was unable to perform her umrah, for she had her period, which prevented her from performing the Tawaf of Umra. She had not made several Umras during the same journey. However, those who leave Mecca and exceede the limits of the sacred territory, going to Jeddah or Medina for example, and then returning to Mecca, can then make another Umrah without hindrances and only God knows. Salam
Question :
What is the exact time of Hajj ?
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Salam alikoum, I want to inform you that the forecasts are as follows INSHALLAH: the 17th of november is the arafat day so it is around that day the the Hajj has to take place. 7 days before and 7 days after have to be counted at least.
Question :
I'm subscribed to go to Mecca INSHALLAH with a couple of my friends ( a man and his wife) ; her husband will be my compagnion. Due to health reasons can not go with me. I want to know if my Hajj will be accepted or not? Thank you in advance
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami

Question :
Can I do the Hajj for another one?
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Salam alikoum, These are the conditions under which you could do Hajj to another one:1/ You have already done it for yourself 2/ The persons you want to do Hajj for is disabled and old or he/she has got a chronic disease. Salam
Question :
An aged person who gets tired during the accomplishments of the rites of Hajj , can he/she accomplish the rites using a wheel-chair?
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Salam alikoum, All persons who can not accoplish the rites of the Hajj or Umrah (tawaf, saa'y, arafat,stoning...) due to exhaustion, elderness, or a disease can use a wheel-chair to accomplish these rites. He/she can also start the rites by his/her own means as the wheel-chair. Salam
Question :
Is it permitted to accomplish Hajj with an ill-gotten money?
The answer :
Dr. Mostafa Brahami
Salam alikoum, If the money is ill-gotten in the sense that it does not belong to its owner any pious act will be unacceptable even under the form of Zakat or aumone; nor Hajj nor Umrah are acceptable too. The other question is that when someone accoplishes the Hajj or Umrah with that kind of money, can it be accepted: The answer is that the researchers differ but their majority consider it unacceptable and only God knows. Salam
