After Hajj

Indeed, those who performed Hajj are really fortunate .They are born anew and their sins are washed away  if their Hajj is accepted. May Allah the Almighty grant all the pilgrim’s acceptance and grant them opportunity again and again to visit the holiest places of the earth.

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself said : "Whoever performs Hajj for the Pleasure of Allah and therein utters no word of evil, nor commits any evil deed, shall return from it (free from sin) as the day on which his mother gave birth to him." ( Bukhari, Muslim)

In another hadeeth he said : "Verily there shall be no reward for a Mabrur Hajj except Jannah." ( Bukhari, Muslim)

However, the pilgrims' attention must be drawn towards certain points which are necessary and paramount to consider and for which many pilgrims are seen neglectful of their significance.

Most importantly,  pilgrims should keep the sincerity of intention after the performance of Hajj. One should not seek to be called or recognized as a Hajii.

Many pilgrims keep talking frequently about their journey so that people know of  their Hajj. They talk about the expenses incurred in the way of Allah, their charity amongst the poor and needy, their devotion and worship, their assistance to the weak and old, etc.; in hope of gaining fame and renown . This is a deceit from Satan (Devil) who ruins the ibaadat (acts of worship) withoutour knowledge. It is therefore paramount not keep repeatedly talking about our Hajj without necessity as it may lead to 'Riyaa' (show, insincerity).

Furthermore,  many pilgrims return with only the bad side of the journey and keep talking talking about the hardships they have encountered during Hajj. they should strictly refrain from this. On the contrary they should talk about the greatness of the journey and the sacred places, the spiritual gains and the enjoyment of the acts of worship.

In addition to this,  the sign of a Hajj Mabrur or an accepted Hajj is that upon one's return, his life changes from worst to good. He becomes totally punctual in fulfilling the commands of Allah the Almighty. His love and inclination towards the Hereafter increases and love for the worldly pleasures decreases. Consequently, it is essential that the pilgrim watches his actions and try his best to instill in himself good characters and refrain from all types of evil.
