Pakistan Delegation Visits General Presidency of Two Holy Mosques' Affairs

President of the General Presidency of Two Holy Mosques' Affairs Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdulrahman Al-Husayn received here today a Pakistani delegation comprising a number of scientific and media personalities, who are on a visit to perform Umrah (the minor pilgrimage).

Sheikh Al-Husayn welcomed the delegation and briefed its members on the role of the Presidency in the service of pilgrims and visitors. The Presidency has finalized a program for the Pakistani delegation members to facilitate their performance of Umrah rituals and visits to the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah as well as tours of some historical sites in the cities of Makkah and Madinah.

Luxury hotels in Mecca were full for Hajj
Luxury hotels around the Grand Mosque in Mecca were running full for this year's Hajj despite hundreds of new rooms opening. "Makkah Hilton & Towers were a sell-out for the month surrounding Hajj," said Shuja Zaidi, the hotel's general manager and vice president for Hilton Worldwide projects in Saudi Arabia. "We had expected rates to be lower than in 2010 due to the increased supply of hotel rooms in and around the Haram." But demand exceeded supply and rates remained "in line" with last year.
