Islamic spiritual tourism entrepreneurs in Indonesia are going temporarily close Egypt as a tourist destination following the crisis in that country. “There are some changes since the crisis and it can be overcome by changing the place of spiritual tourism,” said Chairman of the Umrah and Hajj Organizers Association (Himpuh) H Baluki Ahmad .
Regarding when the umrah tours begin deployment, Bailuki said that in February 2011 there have been companies that dispatch travelers although until now the Embassy of Saudi Arabia has not opened a visa service. “Until now, services for Umrah visas have not opened. We also do not know why because normally they should have opened,” he said, hoping the Embassy of Saudi Arabia may soon open the Umrah 2011 visa service.

Luxury hotels in Mecca were full for Hajj Luxury hotels around the Grand Mosque in Mecca were running full for this year's Hajj despite hundreds of new rooms opening.
"Makkah Hilton & Towers were a sell-out for the month surrounding Hajj," said Shuja Zaidi, the hotel's general manager and vice president for Hilton Worldwide projects in Saudi Arabia.
"We had expected rates to be lower than in 2010 due to the increased supply of hotel rooms in and around the Haram." But demand exceeded supply and rates remained "in line" with last year.
