Bandar Seri Begawan - The third batch of "umrah" pilgrims under the Straits Central Agencies (SCA) Sdn Bhd package departed for Jeddah Sunday night.
The 71 pilgrims, led by Awg Said Al-Jabbar of SCA were set to be in the Holy Land for 12 days from March 20-31, 2011 to perform the umrah, ormini-pilgrimage.
The first batch of 78 pilgrims led by Hajjj Rafi bin Hajj Noorudin, the Managing Director of SCA, meanwhile, was scheduled to depart the Holy City of Medina at 11 am (4pm Brunei Time) yesterday, for the Holy City of Mecca. Also yesterday, the second batch of 78 pilgrims arrived safely in the Holy City of Medina.
During their time in the holy land, the pilgrims will visit historic Islamic sites including the Tomb of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
