HAJJ exhibition 2011, the unique Exhibition reference dedicated to the Pilgrimage Hajj and Umrah in UK, took place on June 11th and 12th at the London Muslin Center White Chapel. GO-Makkah, as usual, did not miss this meeting place for all the actors of the Pilgrimage Hajj and Umrah! We were there with Tour Operators, Airline Companies, Saudia Receptives and Hajj and Umrah companies.
Meet between sector actors has become a tradition of Expo Hajj to deal with the growing needs of quality services in parallel with the growth of departures for Hajj and Umrah in the world.
Ambitious objectives are posted and translated by the Saudi authorities leading to increase their accommodation facilities as well as the addition of ground and hotel infrastructures. However, this increase could not guarantee, to her only, the good progress of the Pilgrimage.
Indeed, the launch of numerous programs and initiatives in the field of Hajj and Omra owes be concomitant and complementary in the mobilization of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the European States.
We are experiencing an awareness of the economic stake which represents the activity of the Pilgrimage Hajj and Umrah is general. Last year, it is over 50 000 pilgrims who left the French and UK territories to perform the Pilgrimage in Mecca; this market represent more than 200 million euro a year.
But, beyond the big economic issues in the sector of Hajj and Umrah, or problems related to this sector as the disorganization and dysfunctions, the sector faces sanitary and security challenges that need to make every effort to counter them.
It is in this context that the Lounge of the European Hajj and Umrah Exhibition (Hajj Expo) was a major event as unique place dedicated to the general public and professionals under the same roof where information, exchange and solutions join in a pragmatic approach of the market of the Pilgrimage Hajj and Umrah.
