
The Tunsian Minister of Religious Affairs, Mr. Boubaker El Akhzouri Spoke to tunsian meadia representatives to give out the cost of Hajj for the year 2010/1431.
He announced that the “ overall fares of hajj are estimated at 5,626 Tunsian Dinars including accommodation and spendings at the Arafat Mount, Foods at Mina and Arafat and the transportation service too ”.
He added to say that “The value of the tourist allowance per person could be 1,000 Tunisian Dinars as a minimum and 6,000 Tunisian Dinars as a maximum”.
He announced that the Saudi government have already set the health that the pilgrims have to respect including vaccinations against meningitis, seasonal influenza and meningococcal disease (ACYW 135) .
In this frame and concerning Umrah, an augmentation of prices by 20% is expected to occur compared to the previous season.Some sources have attributed the increase of this year to the accommodation cost in Mecca and Medina and the works of rehabilitation done in the hotels and the buildings that are meant to be rented by pilgrims too. In spite of this considerable increase, till now 40 millions request of Umrah have been registered in Tunisia and the number is increasing each day.
