The Haram’s Security Directorate Dedicated 757 camera to monitor the movement of pilgrims during Ramadan and it has increased the number of security officers to 1800 security men and officers regarding the current crowdedness that the Grand Mosque is witnessing during this holy month.

The Security Director of the Grand Mosque put emphasis on the lack of religious and ethical awareness some among the worshipers and visitors and its role to most disturb the peaceful atmosphere and introduce what is called disorder. He called pilgrims and visitors to avoid praying in the corridors and paths and not to push pilgrims during circumbulation .

He asked them kindly to be cooperative with security officers. He also declared that all officials are doing their best to respect of coordination in order to offer the best services to pilgrims, indicating that the thieves and beggars are responsible for causing troubles and disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in the Holy Mosque in Mecca.

Colonel Yahya al-Zahrani added to say that the main target of the Haram’s Police is to ensure the secure environment for pilgrims mentioning that it requires great efforts and intensive regulatory measures.

The Colonel said that the female Security agents are charged to follow-up security in general, but  have to concentrate their focus particularly on women by carrying out inspection operations at the Haram’s entrance and gates.
