All those who work as the doorkeepers at the prophet’s mosque are receiving training sessions to ensure that they could communicate to different nationalities and accurately master the mosque’s visitors languages.
According to some estimates, during apogee times they affront the challenge of welcoming and helping a number of more than 1 million pilgrims daily.
The supervisor of the doors administration at the prophet’s mosque, Mr.Rashed Bin Ruwaished Al-Maghdhawi declared that the 500 regular and seasonal doorkeepers are having intensive courses in a number of foreign languages including Urdu, Persian and Turkish to make sure that they could understand and assist any of the pilgrims in cases of need.
He added to say that courses are held all along the year to guarantee the achievement of quality in the administration of the Prophet’s Mosque doors.
Al-Maghdhawi said that the prophet’s mosque welcomes different nationalities and therefore different cultures and languages and that the doors administration has the role of ensuring the avoidance of the misunderstandings that might happen among these visitors.
He highlighted the intensity of these courses for seasonal employees during the holy month of Ramadan and the Hajj season to familiarize them with the regulations and the emergency cases.
He added that this training consists of learning communication techniques, to better communicate with pilgrims and worshippers. It consists of ensuring the smooth flow of people through the doors and to their destinations too.
