Due to the increased level of temperatures in Medina, the mosque’s shades (those at the outside and the courtyards) have encouraged Umrah Pilgrims to break their fast on this area. They have been found of great use.
A considerable number of worshippers expressed their happiness and joy to in pay homage to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allahbe upon him) and to praying in his holy mosque.
The prophet’s mosque visitors expressed their thank to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for his great efforts to make of the mosque a peaceful as well as a comfortable place of worship. They said that the new shades are protective whether from heat, which is the case now, or from rain.
Moreover, Medina’s residents take foods for Iftar with them and distribute it among pilgrims at the Prophet’s Mosque. Some put them put it in the outside courtyards and others take it inside the mosque.
Umrah pilgrims are enjoying a common Iftar at the Prophet’s. All the boundaries that might separate them are broken and they sit to eat together in one table regardless of color, race or language.
