Muslims worldwide seek Allah’s satisfaction and they do not hesitate to perform Hajj or Umrah whenever they get that opportunity. Allah’s obedience and passion drive millions of them to perform Hajj and Umrah each year.
Saudi Officials have announced that the number of pilgrims has reached over four millions.
Morover, The Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj for Umrah affairs, Mr. Eissa Rawas declared that for the first time Saudi Arabia has issued such number of Umrah visas.
According to official statistics, Just about 10,000 Umrah pilgrims have overstayed their visas which represents a considerable decrease compared to 2005. In 2005, 250,000 Umrah pilgrims overstayed their visas and did not leave the country after performing thir Umrahs. The Minister linked this decrease to the regulations imposed by the Ministry of Hajj which implemented strict restrictive regulations and issued orders to give an end to Umrah visas violations.
He added saying that the ministry has assigned teams of inspectors to monitor Umrah pilgrims issues and make sure that the travel procedures for them are running smoothly.
