Health care for Umrah pilgrims

After a tour in the government’s hospitals in Mecca, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, the Saudi health minister has said that Saudi Arabia is providing Umrah pilgrims with perfect health services .According to him, they are under the Saudi care from the moment of their arrival till their departure.

The minister declared that the health centers and medical teams are all at the service of the pilgrims and Mecca visitors. He added to say that Umrah pilgrims are served by ten health centers inside the mosque and outside plazas.

Dr. Al-Rabeeah announced that there are no epidemic cases among Umrah pilgrims and that all of them are healthy.  He declared that an amount of SR160 million has been allocated to develop the basic infrastructure of Al-Noor Specialist Hospital in Mecca, including SR40 million assigned for the improvement of the operation theaters.

Luxury hotels in Mecca were full for Hajj
Luxury hotels around the Grand Mosque in Mecca were running full for this year's Hajj despite hundreds of new rooms opening. "Makkah Hilton & Towers were a sell-out for the month surrounding Hajj," said Shuja Zaidi, the hotel's general manager and vice president for Hilton Worldwide projects in Saudi Arabia. "We had expected rates to be lower than in 2010 due to the increased supply of hotel rooms in and around the Haram." But demand exceeded supply and rates remained "in line" with last year.
